22nd April: a new edition of “Banded Together Part 1” will be on sale!
This is generally considered to be the definitive account of the tragic Whitwick Colliery Disaster on 19th April 1898 and its impact on the local community.
The book will be on sale at the event to commemorate the 125th Anniversary in Whitwick Park Hall from 2pm until 5pm at a discounted price of £10.
Afterwards, the book will be available from the Old Station, North Street, Whitwick at the usual price of £12.50, whilst stocks last.
